So long, too long, since my last update. Here's a bunch of stuff I made, funneled quickly to seal the abscess my absence surely left. More to come, but I'll probably give you some time to recover, delicate blossoms. You'll Be Allright. Relief print. 2010.

When you cut off left, what's left is just right. For Giant Robot NY's print show, which was fun to be in but not fun enough to save the store/gallery from closing a few months later.

A free-form experiment to see if gouache and charcoal paper can coexist. They've been happily married by molecules ever since.

Magic Glasses! Watercolor and ink, 2009.

These glasses will help you see into another dimension composed entirely of flailing limbs. Unfortunately, they don't provide much protection against said limbs. Ah, cruel irony.

The top image is a drawing done in my sketchbook whilst I was sick as hell. At least I got something accomplished, aside from a lot of sneezing and self-pitying.

The bottom image is a linoleum block print, the first I've done in a while. Had to print by hand because I no longer have access to a press. Come to think of it, being disgusted by the results of hand-printing might be what made me sick in the first place. Anyway, that's the best print from an edition of 15 and even that I had to tart up a bit with Sharpie marker.

Genie House. Screenprint. Fall Semester 2008. 17"w x 15 1/4" h.

Everyone knows genies are great. Peewee's Playhouse is the ultimate example of this. Sometimes, though, genies try to trick you by twisting your wish into a horrible mockery of the original intention. This happens if you aren't careful with the phrasing of the wish. Genies are very literal. But that's not what this picture is about.

Triptych

Bruce Pardo. Ink and gouache triptych, Spring Semester 2009.

This piece is based on the totally true and horrible/awesome story of Bruce Pardo, a man whose impending divorce drove him to don a Santa Claus costume and terrorize his former in-laws' Christmas Party with a homemade flamethrower. The third-degree burns he sustained from the poorly made weapon forced him to change his initial plan of escape (money and plane tickets were Saran-wrapped to his leg, which I can only assume melted on) to one of SUICIDE!
This piece is approximately 45" h x 72" w, but of course that's an estimate based purely on good old-fashioned speculation.
